Hi, have you ever thought about a vessel as a safe envelope of protection from hazards?
I am George Pereira, with 24 years as A Merchant Marine Officer and Master of ocean-going vessels. Also 11 years as Marine Surveyor for the American Bureau of Shipping.
Since Noah’s Arc ship designs have developed standards which are proven to be efficient and safe. The reality of the effects of ship rolling, water ingress from the sea and risk of structural fire protection failure has always been a challenge.
Ships are not designed to be submarines!
Our team has experience in statutory regulations, operations, repair, and new construction.
We strive to identify potential problems with vessels so that they remain safe for all on board.
From the management side it is important to identify any weaknesses of management systems through auditing and recommending best practices when possible.
We understand the risk management of changing requirements, ship maintenance and vessel operations.
Prior to the existence of approved management systems, mariners developed their own path for survival without effective resources. We believe that a shared mental model between upper levels of management and mariners is a key to success.
We are the voice of experience.
